The Venue

​

It is easy to get to our meetings. 

Enter through the Main Entrance on Claverton Down Road, follow the road until you have to turn right,

 You will see The Edge (8&9 on the map) on your right, the East Building is next along.

 There is copious free parking in East car park, across the road from our meeting venue. 

​

A frequent bus service via the bus station terminates about 100 yards from the East Building. These buses are especially useful if you live in Bath near the U1 or U2 bus routes to the university. They accept bus passes and are just as frequent when our meetings end.

​

Go through the main doors of the East Building and on the evening of a meeting, you will find  our welcome desk, staffed by committee members who will answer any of your questions.

​

Visitors pay £8, this is discounted from the membership fee of £25 if you decide to join after the talk.

The Talk

​

The entire building is accessible, with seats on the level at the front.  There is a hearing loop.

​

The projection and sound equipment are excellent, and every seat has a clear view of the projection screen and a desk for note taking.

​

The lecture starts at 7.30pm prompt, lasts about an hour, followed by questions.  The meeting usually ends at about 9 o'clock.
